My name is Maria Reis Rocha (Lisbon, 1988).

In my both artistic and academic path I traveled to Brussels (BAC in Arts at École Européenne II), Milan (Art and Multimedia at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera) and London (Master's in Graphic Moving Image at the London College of Communication) where I then stayed for 8 years working.

In 2018 I returned to Lisbon, my hometown, to follow my passion for the arts and live closer to my family.

Along this path, I studied design, communication, multimedia, music, animation and illustration, which is the area which I focused the most in the last years. I work mainly in book illustration, fabric patterns, illustrative series and commissioned projects, whether personal or for companies.
I also work in other areas of illustration such as music videos and VJ graphics.

Watercolor and drawing will always be present in my work, from creating dreamier universes to illustrating current themes.
Debating the eternal question of how to contribute to a better world, I get involved in humanitarian projects using illustration as a form of awareness.
